I am thinking of Ron on the one year mark of his final day. Farewell you gruff old fellow, thank you for the stories, and thanks for loving Peggy and bringing wonderful children into the world.

I'm so sorry to hear of Ron's passing. Peggy was my best friend in high school, and was in my wedding in 1966. Our dads both worked at the phone company and were transferred to Sacramento, so we were both new at ElCamino HS at the same time. Our families also both attended St. Michaels Episcopal Church.
When Peggy met Ron she was so happy! Somehow through the years with all the moving around I did, we lost touch. I remember visiting Ron and Peggy at their home in Bellevue, WA. and again...

I have many good memories of interesting talks together especially when you and Peggy were living at the Berrendo house. You always had something interesting to share and your sense of humor was the best. I can so well remember when you coached the girls when they were very young soccer players. You were the best! Now you can be with Peggy again and watch over all of us down here. Rest In Peace my friend. You did well. Sharon Jacks

Just before you married my sister Peggy, when I was 10 years old, I wrote you a letter asking if I would "lose" Peggy when you married her. I recall that you reassured me that all would be well and Peggy would still be there for me. When I was briefly engaged to the "wrong" man, you asked me who my best friend was. Ron, you always gave a lot of advice and sometimes we took it. When we needed our old Modesto Ash tree cut down, Ron said, "Why not have the county do it?" He was right and saved us $1000. Jan

Ron amused us and friends with his tales of yesteryear; one in particular comes to mind about selling "Shake-a-Pudd'n" to grocery stores and military commissaries back in the '60s. We'll miss his funny stories, his expertise on real estate sales, his home re-modeling skills, his advice on gardening, and his recommendations on how to make the perfect Margarita. A well-done life, Ron. Rest in Peace.

We knew Ron as our daughter in law's dad, and our friend. He was a wonderful dad and grandad during the time we knew him, and we are sorry we didn't get to see him more often. He was a wonderful host when we visited. We send many hugs to the family.
