In 1956 I welcomed Ron and his high school friend, Tom Oneil to the US Marine Corps Reserve platoon located at the channel at Muskegon. Ron was a excellent Marine resevist as was evidenced by his accomplishments when he transferred to the US Army Special Forces. I was Ron's platoon Sergeant and only wished we had a whole 4 squads made up of Ron Piasecki's. He is still recalled as a intelligent, tough military man.
