Single Memorial Tree

I first met Ron and Annette when I was 17 and dating Annette's brother, Jon. Over the years, I have known Ron to be a respectable and godly man. Our daughters always said Uncle Ron was born to pray due to the beautiful prayers he prayed when we were together.

It always amused me to make Ron laugh--it brings a smile to my face just thinking about it. Perhaps part of our connection was due to having similar family lives/upbringing.

Jon and I are very thankful we got to...

My sister made a great choice for a husband, and a brother in law for me. He was a great advisor and friend. I look forward to seeing him later!

Thinking of you and keeping the whole family in our thoughts and prayers during this time. We think of Ron often. It was always oddly comforting to look across the street and see Ron’s photography flashes going off. I seriously think about that every time I look across the street at night - even to this day.
Love and Blessings,

I worked with Ronnie at the DMN in the earlier 70's. My life was made better by having been around him. He was a very high princabled and disciplined man We were both getting married in 1970, and as a gift to one another we photographed each other's wedding. Ron got the short end of the deal as he was a experienced wedding photographer and l was not and his was my first gig wedding as a wedding photographer. He was such a gentlemen about it and never said a word.
Ron and I both had...

Cluster of 50 Memorial Trees

I worked with Ron at the Dallas Morning News. He was a mentor to me in my first job as a photographer. He was a gentleman and consummate professional. I had not thought much about my time in Dallas, as this was over 50 years ago, but today as I sat in a bagel shop in Tyler, a copy of the DM News was left by someone and I opened it and saw the obit about my old friend. I’m sure he will be greatly missed.
