Helen and family. Can't tell you how devastated we were to get Julie Fricke's call today concerning Ron's untimely and tragic death. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. So many memories we hold dear of times spent with your whole family. From 4-H to detassling corn to Yuletide sleigh rides and dinners. Our hearts go out to you at this time of great sorrow. Know that we are thinking of you. Jan and Heather Dick

Dear Helen,
We send our heartfelt sympathy to you. We learned of Ron's death in the Seattle newspaper and remembered meeting you at Mo and Chris's wedding.
I pray that the love from family and friends will lessen your grief and comfort you.
Our thoughts and prayers with you,

Helen, I was so sad to hear about Ron - my heart goes out to you and your family. My thoughts go back to working you with as state 4-H officers and to Ron and our FarmHouse days - he was truly a kind, gentle, caring person that made a great difference in many poeples lives. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers, take care, Rich Shuler

What a loss. We are thinking of you in this difficult time and send much love and strength.

With sadness I learned of Ron's accident. He was a remarkable man and brings me memories of our time at ISU and rooming with him at Farmhouse.

We are thinking of you here in Seattle and wish your family peace and our love. Thank you for everything your family has done for this country and this world. From- the polio team at the foundation.

Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. (We are friends of Abbie and Adam.)

Thank you Mr.Raikes for you care and consideration for educating all children. God Bless and keep the Raikes family.

Helen and Family: Words just cannot express the sorrow we all feel for your loss and for the loss of one of Nebraska's great citizens. He truly gave so much to our state. Even at Ashland High, I remember Ron always contributed in that quiet manner of his. It was a privilege to have known him as a friend and classmate. With love and sympathy. Rose Stootsberry Sipe
