Not sure what to say?

IHe was a close friend since our junior high days when I met him and Henry Avenue school in seventh grade he had just moved him over here in New York we hit it off as they say and soon I was guest at the Rehners home frequently soon as father was driving us toEFA Each morning.. I was the best man for Ron and Nancys wedding in Towanda Pennsylvania. Over the years we try to keep in touch; where I was therefore surprising and sad to me not turn their past until this morning when my caregiver...

In the late 1960's / early 1970's, Mr. David Keeley and Mr. Ron Rehner made the rest of the world come alive in realistic ways for we students who cared to pay attention. They treated us honestly and firmly. Rest in peace, Mr. Rehner. Respect.

I was a student of Mr. Rehner's at Thomas Edison H.S. in the mid-70's. I remember him as a passionate, intelligent, thought-provoking history teacher. I never saw him again after high school, but after reading his obituary and the condolences, it is evident he continued to teach, to lead and to give to the community well beyond his teaching career. His work as a volunteer was most impressive and worthy of admiration. What a special, giving man. My sympathy to his family.

As a student of his back in 1980 I can say he always kept things interesting in class .he was a very nice person and a good teacher to all those he taught. He will be missed but not forgotten.

A true gentleman, outstanding teacher and friendly neighbor - you will be missed by many. I will think of you each time I drive by your house, remembering the beautiful flowers and gardens surrounding your home.

Mr Rehner was a fantastic influence on me and our class. I will always remember how passionate and knowledgeable he was regarding the coursework. He was easy to follow, yet intense in his descriptions. I will never forget that Volkswagon Beetles have the ability to float as we learned in his slide presentation. This is a big loss for the community. Thanks for all you taught us!

The Heights were very lucky to have such a great teacher who shared his first hand knowledge with us. He made learning interesting. Thank you Mr. Rehner.

Mr Rehner was a very inspirational teacher, with a totally different presentation, to our Edison class of 63.
I later re-connected with him as an adult, when he was with RSVP and found the same enthusiasm for his new passion of helping others.
We have all lost a wonderful asset to the community.
RIP Mr Rehner
