He was a special person. He made a difference in so many people he made you feel good on a bad day,

Mrs Roddam and family I barely met Ronnie at East Lake Park in 1962. Ronnie was leading a group on boys trying to make the Banks freshman team. My father was transferred to California I ended up with a scholarship to USC And on the scout team for the 1967 National championship team. I followed Ronnie´s successful career at Alabama with the Bear. I sometimes wonder how good it would have to play together at Banks. Ronnie sounds like he had a great life and family. He was one of the greatest men/fathers i ever met playing sports growing up... so generous sincere and always kind. He bought me many fountain drinks and snacks at concession stand after games. His wife left her purse at milo's in Vestavia where i worked at the time . As i was cleaning up i saw it and put it behind the counter. When he returned to get it he shook my hand with a 20 and thanked me . I haven't seen Ryan or him in years but ill never forget his smile and extreme...
