Ronald Harold Ruis II

During the early 1970's, our sisterhood of teaching wives in Durham, North Carolina, handled elementary classroom assignments while our husbands diligently worked to earn their jurisprudence degrees. Ron always impressed me with his sterling work ethic to which he faithfully adhered. Some of us soon lost touch with one another when our husbands had attained their law degrees, but by reading Ron's obituary, I know that his life was well lived.

I was a classmate of Ron's at Boone High in Orlando. Last year I caught up with him in Neuchatel and was renewing our long interupted friendship. Even though we had not communicated in 30 years I will miss him terribly. Ron was a fine person and a wonderful friend to me.
