Not sure what to say?

My condolences. .I understand he worked with Dr. Warren Wilson at USC in Opthamology. Dr Wilson took care of me as a child with severe Amblyopia.

I'm sorry for your loss.

I had one visit with Dr Smith and exchanged a few emails regarding my severe eye condition. He was a true professorial and I am glad that he assisted me.

Dr. Smith was a tremendous role model for all young physicians. I feel blessed to have done research under his guidance as a medical student...I really enjoyed our weekly meetings and his sense of humor. He gave me (and my family) a wonderful opportunity by selecting me for the residency program at USC/Doheny and I will be forever grateful. May he rest in peace and may his family find strength through this difficult time.

He was so patient and passionate, peace be upon him.

I had the honor of being a resident under Dr. Smith from 2005-2008. Residency was a tough time, but we all enjoyed Friday morning rounds with our Chairman Ron Smith. In his busy schedule, he took time to meet with us each week. I so enjoyed his warmth and humor and time in his clinic. I am saddened by his passing and grateful for the time I trained under him. My condolences to his family who must so miss him dearly.

Many Condolences to the Smith Family and the numerous people that he has touched over the years.

Dr. Smith made a lasting impact on my career and my life. I valued his mentorship and wisdom during my training. I always admired his generosity and sense of humor. As a Chairman, Dr. Smith cared deeply about his students and made it a priority to look after us. I will always remember our Friday Chairman Rounds where we candidly chatted about ophthalmology, medicine, sports and life. ...

I remember meeting him long ago. Such a lovely, compassionate (and handsome!) man. I always thought you two were almost a perfect couple. May his strength and love comfort you. RIP

Toutes nos condoleances ma chere

Happy grandparents

I am grateful for the 34 years of love and support I enjoyed with this very wonderful man. He was as wonderful a husband and father as he was a leader and Doctor.
