Read MoreIt must have been the mid 1960s, a few students of Mr Smoyer's helped him and Miss Charlotte move from Catasauqua to Emmaus. It so happened that they lived on the second floor and the family on the first floor had just experienced a death a day or two before the move. You can imagine the state of mind they were in. But what sticks out in my mind, is the way Mr Smoyer handled the situation with reverence and respect.

Mr. Smoyer, You were the most "memorable" teachers in my lifetime. Science class @ Salisbury School was one I certainly looked forward to. My only regret is that we didn't get to meet in our latter years ! RIP John 14:1-4 Denny Ballek
