I have nothing but fond memories of being included on trips to Ron's house with my Father Dr. Richard Heck. Dad had the utmost respect for Ron, who for a beloved period of time in the early 1970s for "rock hounds " had unfettered access to the St. Joe Lead district quarries and had an unprecedented collection of the finest Calcite and Galena formations on the planet earth. Godspeed Ron. I enjoyed getting to know Ron when I came to work at the Mound. He was a friend of my father's and he introduced us initially. His passion for classic cars and hot rods made us fast friends. I always aspired to build my next car to his level of quality/attention to detail. Ron was will be missed.
