Ronald E. Surette, Sr., 75, of Shirley, formerly of Clinton, Sterling and Fitchburg, died Saturday, August 13, 2011, in his daughter's home in Shirley, after an illness.
He leaves his five loving children: Ronald E. Surette, Jr., Linda Albert, and Melissa Surette, all of Fitchburg, Elaine Smith of Sterling, and Cheryl Surette of Shirley; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces; and one nephew. A brother, Howard Surette, predeceased him.
Ronald was born and raised in Leominster, son of the late Edward C. and Laura Evelyn (Foster) Surette. He attended local schools.
For 33 years until his retirement, he worked in Quality Control at the former ITT Suprenant, Clinton.
Funeral services and burial are private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Ronald to the Sterling Animal Shelter, "Animal Shelter, Inc.," 17 Laurelwood Rd., Sterling, MA 01564. The McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton, is
