Moira, James, Ron and Allison, I am so sorry for your loss. I learned so much from your Dad, how to drink Scotch, band birds and thinking deeply of the natural world. What an incredible life he had. I especially like the sentence "He was a modern-day Magellan. He and your mom were the first "parents" who insisted we call them by their first names. They both were so welcoming of Jamie's friends, fond memories of Manitoulin, and Cluny. The year of firsts is never easy. I like to think of grief...
