During a track and field event between Catholic grade schools, Ronnie was the anchor of the relay team. Somehow the baton got dropped during the handoff and suddenly things were looking bad for St. Michael's. I was standing next to the running lane and when Ronnie flew past me, his eyes were red and his jaw was clenched tight. I'd never in my life seen anyone run so fast and with so much focus. It's very sad to mark another year of Ronnie's passing. We attended Pensacola Catholic High School during the same time. Rest in God's loving arms, Ronnie.

To Ronnie's family, my thoughts are with you all. When I think of Ronnie, it takes me back to the school yard at St Michaels. I recall when I was in 6th or 7th grade and Ronnie was in 7th or 8th we were goofing around at recess as boys do. I was shadow boxing and Ronnie walked by me and hit me in the chest so fast and so hard I'm not sure how many times he actually hit me.
