Swartz Funeral Home - Flint Obituary

TUCKER, Ronald Maurice, of Clio, MI, died November 28, 2020, at Ascension Genesys, due to complications from Covid-19. A private service will be held at a later date.

Ron was born September 17, 1953 to Maurice "Bud" and June Tucker. He grew up, and went to school in Mt. Morris, MI, and was part of the 1971 graduating class. Ron married Nancy Graham on December 30, 1973. He went on to attend Mott Community College and then Central Michigan University. They lived in Shepherd, MI, where Ron worked night shift at UPS while earning his Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. Throughout his entire career, he was always a hard worker, and sometimes worked 2-3 jobs at a time. For the past 20 years, and presently, he was dedicated to running his own business and was a successful real estate appraiser. He took pride in his business, and cultivated many close friendships along the way.

Ron was well known as a jokester. He loved to make people laugh, and his best partner in crime was lifelong friend, John Covert. Ron loved his family. He took great pride in his five grandchildren, and their accomplishments. He had a generous heart, and was always giving, wanting to make sure his family was taken care of. Ron also had a soft spot for animals. He kept a pocketful of dog and cat treats to share with his grandpup, the neighbor dogs, and any others he was fortunate to meet.

Ron is survived by wife Nancy (Graham) Tucker, daughters Carrie Holland, Amanda (Turner) Ipsen, and Jamie Tucker. Five grandchildren Savannah (Zachary) Takacs, Dylan and Conner Holland, Violet and Isla Ipsen. Sister Karen (Dennis Parks) and brother Richard Tucker, and many family and friends. Thank you to the doctors and nurses in the MICU at Ascension Genesys, who he spoke highly of each day.

He was preceded in death by his parents Maurice "Bud" and June Tucker, son-in-law Mark Holland, and niece Stefanie Parks.

Not sure what to say?

I am so very sorry for you loss . I will never forget Ron Tucker he was a customer and a good friend of mine . He would alway come into the Bank and tell the girls about the time I told him he could just have a seat and wait while I finished his transaction , he knows how the story really goes , we had many long talks about life and family in the end he always made us laugh that’s what I will always remember . We are truly going to miss him . My deepest sympathy.

So very sorry for your loss. My deepest sympathy.

Ron was such a loyal friend to my Dad. They went on "man" dates to the movies, watched football in their pjs, laughed until they both cried and argued about back in the day stories! It was literally like watching 2 teenagers when they were together. My Dad is very blessed to have great friends, Ron was one of the best.
The kindness and humor didn't stop with John C! Ron was a family fave as well! He loved joking with our whole family and telling embarrassing stories about my Dad. It...

Dear Nancy and family. My deepest condolences to all of you. I haven’t seen Ron in probably 25 years but he was one who nobody could forget. He always had a way to brighten my day. We were friends through high school and college. I am very saddened to hear of his passing.

Dear Tucker Family, I’m sorry for your loss! Ron was a great man who always brought a smile to my face when I talked to him. I loved his stories and quick wit. There was no doubt he loved his family dearly and talked of you often. He will be missed by so many!

My heart is broken to hear of Ron’s passing. He was such a big personality, a generous heart, a ready mind: always looking for a way to make others laugh, and to help in any way. I have dozens of Ron Tucker stories; he is one of the most interesting characters that I have had the privilege of knowing. I will always be in debt to Ron and Nancy for immeasurable help and encouragement. May God multiply his good influence in this world, and keep him close in the next.

Dear Amanda and Family, I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Tucker’s Passing. Please know I am sending you prayers and love. Jacque Ptak

Ron was my "go to" guy in perplexing Real Estate situations. I always enjoyed throwing ideas off of him and loved the funny banter along the way. I am shocked and so very sad to hear of his passing. He brought sparkle. My condolences to his family.

Rest In Peace Ron
