Not sure what to say?

I am so sad to say I just seen this while calling to make an appointment! I am in total Shock!! He was a gentle man & I saw him for years as my eye Dr. I will miss him!! Late condolences to his Family & Friends! I will Miss You, Dr. Vanderlugt!!

Recién me entero. No lo puedo creer. Fui su paciente. Un gran médico. RÍP.

Mis condolencias. Fui su paciente. Hoy, 6-13-2023 me he enterado. Lo siento mucho.

I´m just finding out about this now but nevertheless I am very sad to hear of his passing. He was my eye doctor for 17 years. I was one of the only young children he took on as a patient at the time I believe, but even as a kid I found his demeanor very calming. He was great at what he did and no one ever had a bad thing to say about him. Condolences to the family and may he rest in peace.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. What a great guy. Talented, easy to talk to, an intellectual; just the kind of ophthalmologist I'd always recommend to anyone looking for the go-to expert. Just thinking about the last appointment which I was in the office for a checkup brings a smile to my face.

I lived with Ron for two years in Ann Arbor long ago and am saddened to hear of his death. He was a great guy, liked by all. May he rest in peace, and my sympathy to all his friends and family.

He was my eye doctor for 7 years now. He was very good at what he did and he did my cataract surgery. He will be missed heard of his passing this morning it was a shocker.

I worked with Dr. VanderLugt when he first came to Borgess! Very nice man and surgeon!

I met Ron officially on the second evening of our rafting adventure. I had the privilege of having very deep conversations with him as well as seeing his smile and hearing his laughter the entire morning prior to him passing. Like mentioned below he was a man of few words but the words he spoke will forever have an impact on all of us. He was such an amazing, sympathetic, caring man and will forever be missed.
