Not sure what to say?

I continue to hold Ron and the family in prayer on the 2nd anniversary of his passing. I have great memories of him as a teacher and more recently at our two 8th grade reunions. May he rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to Mr. Winfield's family and friends. I was sent to his office once or twice in Giannotti. He was a nice man. He was strict also. Lol. I hope he rests peacefuly, always. God Bless his family .

Mr. Winfield was a great man. We are sorry we missed his services. Our prayers are with you at this time of loss.

Sorry to hear of Mr Winfield's passing. Without question, he was my favorite teacher. As my 8th grade teacher at First Avenue School, my most vivid memory of him was walking into the classroom with tears in his eyes informing us of President Kennedy's assassination. And I think he enjoyed recess more than the kids, playing softball and football with the boys.. A great guy and teacher...

Sorry to hear of the passing of Ronny. The Strang family remembers him fondly. Berenice Strang Platt.

this man will be missed by all that knew him he was my teacher and he was a dam good one i liked him very much and so sorry to hear that he has passed he will be missed so glad i got to see him at our reunion and talk some he was a great guy

I met Ron in 1970 when I was a first-year teacher and he was Vice Principal at Giannotti Middle School. He took me "under his wing" and showed me how things were done. I thought of him and his instruction often as I completed 46 years in the teaching-coaching profession.
A truly great man who helped an incredible amount of people during his life.

You were the Vice Principal at Giannotti Jr. High when I went there. I would see You around, just within the last year most recent and You remembered me perfectly You knew who I hung out with and everything. I saw You in a store I was working at and You said ''no more roofing for you?'' Wow I thought this guy is sharp! R.I.P Mr. Winfield.

Great loss of a member of the First Ave famiy. A great teacher and coach.
