Not sure what to say?

Sending my deepest ext condolences to the Zlatoper family. Barry, I am sending you lots of love from Kiawah Island SC where my husband Keith and I live. Just thinking about you and found out that Zap passed. You were blessed with an incredible and admirable marriage Susan Dyes

We met Zap in VA Beach in the late 1960's. Everyone knew then that Zap was special. Whether on the beach or in the cockpit he was a leader, a friend, a confidant. I don't think Zap ever met a stranger. Friendship was immediate but so was the discipline that goes with a successful life. Our world is a better place because he was in it. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those of all who knew him. I'm sure his final landing was a 3 wire at God's gates in heaven.

Had the privilege of serving as Admiral Zlatoper's Executive Assistant when he was a "one star" at BUPERS. He was truly a superstar and one of the finest gentlemen I ever had the pleasure of knowing. Sincerest condolences to the entire Zlatoper family on your great loss.

From the movie,"Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid, movie" my respect as a United States Marine, goes out to Barry Zlatoper, and the wonderful soppier that...

Barry - So sorry to read of Zap's death, but what an impressive career he had. He was exceptional, and you were always a real asset to him. I remember so fondly our time in Virginia Beach many years ago when our children were young. We are now living at Harbor's Edge, a retirement community in Norfolk. Please know that I am thinking about you in your loss. Julie
