Not sure what to say?

Remembering this wonderful and talented man...very grateful to have worked with him. We pray God's continued blessing upon Donna and family. Ron and Diane Susek

Remembering our wonderful friend, Ronn. Donna, we are thinking of you and the family. Much love, Ron and Diane Susek

As a High-Schooler in Akron, OH in the 1960s, with my Dad as Pastor of a nearby church, Ronn invited me to be in the original Chapelaires, a singing group in The Chapel on Fir Hill. The good memories of Ronn and Donna still are some of the best, especially when Ronn would have to "tone down" Roger Byrd, our terrific drummer, so the group could be heard.

As a member of The Chapelaires, Ronn and Donna influenced me in what Christian music could be. The arrangements of songs we sang allowed us High School students to absorb and present their contributions in concerts around Akron, Ohio. I am happy to have spoken with Ronn only two years ago, when we talked about our next concert in Heaven's Choir.

Dear Donna....remembering Ronn and you and the family. Such wonderful musical memories of working with him and you as well. We love you. Ron and Diane Susek

I am sadly just hearing of Ronn's passing over a year ago. He and Donna were an amazing influence on my life. I admired and looked up to them as wonderful examples of servants of God. Ronn was such a pleasant and kind man, and his musical direction during my years in the Chapelaires at The Chapel are some of the dearest memories of my life. God gave both Ronn and Donna a great gift of musical talent, and they in turn used that talent for the glory of God. I can still hear their...

Please accept my deepest condolences on the death of your dear husband. As a teenager, I sang in the Chapel choir. You and Ronn were such godly examples of how to live for God. I still remember the first song he lead us in: To God Be the Glory! May God comfort and strengthen you and your family. Penny Wigington Massoud

I was saddened to read here about the death of Mr. Huff, who I never met but wish I had. I play hymns on the piano and collect hymnals, and it was in one of these that I chanced upon the hymn "At The Name of Jesus" set to Mr. Huff's tune "Ashlyne". It has since become my favorite of all hymns. This is truly saying something, as I have at least a dozen different hymnals, old and new, from nearly as many Christian denominations. I want his family to know that he touched so many people in...

Ronn and Donna Huff were the mainsprings of the music program at The Chapel on Fir Hill, in Akron, Ohio, when I was a teenager there in the mid-1960s. I sang -- with little discernible talent -- in their choir and still feel the positive effects of that experience now, more than 50 years and many a mile later.

It was something of a shock to discover that Ronn had passed away. Somehow, I imagined someone with his talents was beyond earthly travails. I only wish I had been able to follow...
