Ron Bell didn't let his passion for making money for investors stand in the way of his passion for donating money to worthy causes. Read the news obituary.

Another Springfield, TN guy saying good bye to a great guy. Ronnie always stood out in school and showed a lot of character in all he did. Became further acquainted with Mom and Dad later on in life and other members of their family. I guess the last time I saw Ronnie was at a funeral for Foy McCollum several years ago and we crossed the crowd to say hello to each other. A special guy who will surely be missed by a lot of folks. But he also did not take himself seriously, always a lead indicator of someone who would make the world a better place, which he obviously did. His peace for his family,

Mrs. Roberta Bell,
I am so sorry for the loss of your dear son, Ron. I count it an honor to have known him for the past 14 years and to have met you on several occasions during that time.
I pray for God's comfort and peace for you as you go through this challenging time.

I'm shocked. I met Ron Bell when I was a student at Emory in 1968. I remember there were guys like him, 10 feet tall, and guys like me. I was impressed and intimidated. One of the things that impressed me the most over the years was how humble he was. You never really knew about all of his accomplishments because he didn't talk about himself. Always a gentleman and a friend. The world will miss him.
