BENZONIA - Mr. Ronnie L. Mowrer passed away Saturday afternoon, Jan. 21, 2006, at home, at age 63.

He was born in Danville, Pa., on Dec. 7, 1942, and had lived in Benzie County for the past 17 years. On May 23, 1981, he was united in marriage to Areda A. Golder.

Mr. Mowrer was a supervisor at Stone Containers for many years, retiring in 2005.

He is survived by a wife, Areda "Rita" A. Mowrer; six daughters and two sons; 14 grandchildren; and a large extended family.

Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Benzonia Chapel of McElduff-Jowett Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 27, at 2 p.m., at the Benzie Area Church of Christ in Frankfort, with Evangelist Robert E. Bodell officiating.

The Benzonia Chapel of McElduff-Jowett Funeral Homes & Cremation Service is handling the arrangements.

I meet him when I was a young girl and he was painting our neighbors house and became a family friend and the a family member when he married my sister Areda. I love you all and My prayers are with you all.

I have been a friend of Ron and Rita since this summer I did not find out about Ron but I will greatly miss him because we became great friends down at the hungry tummy

November 2006 Thanksgiving time
