Sending our condolences to the family. We will always remember how nice he was with all the kids and parents at his Newfield Elementary crossing guard post. He had a happy demeanor and loved talking about his wonderful family. May he Rest In Peace.

My sincere condolences to you and your family Elaine. May your Dad Rest In Peace.

His smile lit up the whole neighborhood. Instantly made me happy every time I got to speak to him before going into work. Such an amazing soul that will be so missed. Rest In Paradise

Thank you Roosevelt for safely crossing my children all their years at Newfield as well as hundreds of others. You were the best part of our day & you are truly missed. Xo

The friendliest school crossing guard. May he RIP.

We live across the street from Mr. Roosevelt´s crossing guard post and enjoyed seeing him twice a day for many years. My girls absolutely loved when he said to them, " you go girl!". The stories he told us of his grandchildren and gr. grandchildren were lovely. RIP Mr. Roosevelt, you will be missed.

It was sad to hear about my old neighbor Mr. Roosevelt, he was so friendly & kind, always enjoyed when I ran into him anywhere and we would stop and have a quick word. My condolences to the entire family, it´s not an easy journey when a loved one dies, and I am praying for peace and comfort in your time of grief.
