Not sure what to say?

I met Johnny (Rory) at Slims. I had no idea at the time about his talent. He was just a really kind man with a sense of humor that helped me when I needed even a small amount of kindness in my life. I was blown away when I saw the Mutilators and I saw them perform as often as I could. I´m reflecting on those days this week and listening to his music. Im thankful for him and his example of just being a human with empathy. Rest in peace, Rory. You were a great human being.

I knew him as Johnny when I met him while working In Colma and later became a roommate on Munich street years ago in San Francisco. It was a house of horrors...too many roommates with loud music and a lot of laughs. Johnny was a great dude with emence talent. Saw him play quite a few times at gigs and in the garage of course. Sad to hear the news. Rest in power my friend.

I am sadden to hear that Tod has passed. I became friends with Tod when were in the 6th grade. We remained friends all the way through high school and beyond. I got married in 1982 and Tod was my best man. I remember how excited he was when he got his first guitar. He asked my older brother to show him some cords, from then on the rest is history. We took a night class in wood shop and that's where he and I made his first Flying V guitar. Not only was Tod a great musician he was also a great...

DEAR THOMPSON FAMILY,SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS, THIS IS A MOST DIFFICULT TIME FOR YOU, PLEASE FIND COMFORT FROM THE BLESSINGS FOUND AT JOHN 11:24-26. OUR LOVED ONES WILL LIVE AGAIN.

Rory as Big Jed

Toddd introduced me to the radio world & we shared a love of the odd & unusual when we researched the archives of vinyl promo albums hidden in a backroom at KLYD & never aired for the public to enjoy.

Together we brought punk & anti music to Bakersfield in the mid 80's. We started "Shut Up Sound" & it failed to make a profit, so it went silent & we went our separate ways.

Toddd never failed to entertain nor enlighten everyone he came across. He insisted that his name always...

My deepest sympathies. Tod was one of the first and most inspiring human beings and master music composers that I had the privilege of working with as a musician. He was extremely talented, and he demanded perfection, which inspired me to deliver perfection to him as a drummer. My experiences with Tod helped make me who I am today, someone how demands the very best of myself.

RORY WAS VERY HELPFUL TO ASSOCIATES AND CUSTOMERS AT THE COLMA HOME DEPOT STORE, WHERE HIS POSITION WAS THE ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT PART TIME. AT BREAK TIME, I TALKED TO HIM ABOUT HIS BAND ON OCCASION. I WISH I HAD HEARD HIM PLAY. MAY HE REST IN PEACE AND MY SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AT THIS TIME.

My chief memory of my friend Rory is his love of music.I saw him in all his glory playing with his band The Mutilators at Slims in SF a few years back. It was a high point moment. He seemed ecstatic. What else mattered? At that moment he was fulfilled. RIP Rory.....
