ROSA RAMIREZ

Rosa Vasquez Ramirez, 77, passed away at her home Monday, September 16, 2013. She is preceded in death by her parents Pablo and Bidala Vasquez. She is survived by her husband Alfredo (Felo) Ramirez, her two daughters Evangeline Rose (Evie) and Melissa Rose (Missy) and three brothers Roland Vasquez (Anne), Pablo Vasquez Jr., and Joe Vasquez (Lisa) and numerous nieces and nephews. Rosie was born on August 28, 1936 in Toyah, Texas. She moved to El Paso in 1950 and attended Thomas Jefferson Junior High. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High school in 1955. She married Felo Ramirez on June 22, 1957 and celebrated 56 years of marriage. Rosie was caring, loving and generous to all. She participated in several civic organizations throughout her life. She was a blessing to all who knew her. She worked most of her adult life as a bookkeeper for several businesses. She retired from Urban General Construction. She was a dedicated employee and many of her colleagues admired her work ethic. She loved to travel with her husband and visited many places in the U.S. and the world. She was a wonderful wife, loving mother, caring sister and a great friend. She was loved by many and will forever be missed. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 24, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. Del Sol Church.
