Rosalee O'Hanley Isaly

Almost 2 years gone now and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of Rosalee as I have a watercolor of a bouquet of flowers that she painted for me and my Husband, Marc Blatte, when she and Sherry Benenson visited us at our home in Nicaragua. It is a perfect memento of her talent, effervescent personality and warmth......

I am just learning of this a year later and am having trouble taking it in as Rosalee was such a life force it is hard to imagine her gone! Fortunately we have several of her art works to keep her spirit alive around us....and what a spirit it was! The soul of generosity and graciousness, deeply talented and such a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. My deepest sympathies to all who will miss Rosalee so.....

Our Sweet Rose, she gave us all a touch of class. Shared laughter some laughter together, comradery in the fine art of creating, welcomed our class/ her friends to her home and was so gracious to us all, and knew how to live well. She was our sweet Rose who offered herself. She was a lovely women a dear friend who we will always miss. I felt like we lost a family member and her Artist friends will not be the same without her. May you rest peacefully now and find the serenity you had yearned...

To a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, you will be mostly missed forever. Your talents and love of art was your accomplishments of enjoying and appreciating life's gifts. God bless you Rosalee, may you rise and shine like our beautiful sun.

Dear Jayson, Kim and Morgan,
Please know that you are in our thoughts. Your mother was a dynamo til the end. Whenever anyone in the neiborhood said Rosalee they didn't even need to use a last name! What a grand legacy she leaves with the work she devoted to the Park. She will be missed by many.

Deepest sympathy to all family and friends on the passing of Rosalee, on behalf Partnerships for Parks. Many of us had the privilege to work with Rosalee on the care and beautification of Stuyvesant Square Park. We are grateful to have known her and to have been inspired by her sincere dedication to this beloved neighborhood gem. Rosalee will be remembered and missed.
