Rosalind Abuton Obituary

Rosalind Amiscaray Abuton, 65, was born and grew up in Dumaguete City in the beautiful island of the Philippines. She was the youngest of six children consisting of three boys and three girls. She is preceded in death by Urbano Amiscaray and Rosario Patero Amiscaray. She leaves behind her daughter Angelica Abuton and her son in law Jason Thomas. She was educated in Manila at the Philippines Women's University attaining a bachelor's degree in health science and nutrition. She had always envisioned to travel the world, which she accomplished. She was passionate about ballroom dancing, skiing, and enjoyed various culinary experiences. She was Mrs. Philippine Independence in 2004, and she was an active member of the Filipino community. Visitation Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 4-9pm at Drake and Son Funeral Home, 5303 N Western Avenue, Chicago IL, 60625. Funeral Service at Drake and Son Funeral Home, Thursday, December 21, 10am.
