As-Salaam Alaikum: Khalid, Tabinah, Takiyah, Faiq, Muqarrab and Muharrar, I truly loved your mother, my dear Sister Waheedah. Her passing has changed my life forever, too. We shared almost forty-five years of history, events, endless phone calls, laughter, sadness, childbirth, child rearing and all the things that could be done in more than forty years. I pray that she has the peace that she deserves. May Allah grant her paradise forever and ever. Her best friend, Sister Malikah.

WAHEEDAH WAS A BEAUTIFUL PERSON. SHE WAS THAT OUTSIDE OTHER TO ME AND MY SON. ALLAH HAS CALLED HER BACK TO THOSE GOLDEN GARDEN. SEE YOU WHEN I GET THERE.

Sister Waheedah's return to the Essence brought up memories of my youth. I was reminded of our first meeting at my cousin's house when I was five years old; to the many times I played in her home where on some of those occasions she imparted wisdom. She will be missed.
