Not sure what to say?

Rosie was one-of-a-kind. We met her when she was a hostess at McDonalds, in Lawrence, KS. She was so kind and gentle with my then 4-year-old daughter. She made an amazing impression. We visited her multiple times during her time at the store, and she even invited my daughter over to her home for a play date. She was not just an employee; she became our friend. We moved back to Michigan in 1997, but she made our stay in Kansas so enjoyable and memorable. She will always be fondly...

To the Family of Rosalyn Rowell Burmeister Please accept our sincere condolences on behalf of Mortar Board. Rosalyn was a loyal life member and supporter. We were proud of her accomplishments in life, as we know her chapter at Kansas State University was. She brought honor to us all, and she will be missed. With sincere sympathy, Kristen Freeman Fox, PhD Executive Director

Lou, Elise, and Amanda, know that many people have positive and caring memories of Rosalyn and we want you to know that her passing and the loving obituary helped us to recall the many ways she affected us. What an active, ministering life she had! Her beautiful energy, spirit and heart were reflected in her life and relationships. We are better for having known her and your family.

Rosie was a blessing in my life. We shared laughter and tears through the years discussing the issues of parenting and the joys of grand parenting. We had deep discussions of theology as well as the practical aspects of church management. She made my life better and I will miss her humor and support.

Rosie was a good friend and source of support during the time of my mother´s serious illnesses and also during the blessed times of my sons´ births. She was a very generous and caring woman. Thank you for sharing her with me. God bless.

I´m so sorry for your loss of one amazing woman. I had the privilege of meeting Rosie when I was pregnant with my daughter Kylie. I would stop by Lamar´s Donuts every morning and got to know her. The day I didn´t show up for my daily donut, she brought them to the hospital for me. That was 25 years ago and then got to know her by becoming her hairdresser. She loved her family with all of her heart and her face lit up talking about her girls. I am so happy she touched my life. Again, I´m so...

Dear Louis, Condolences to you and your family on Rosie's transition. You were friends and neighbors! I was walking by your house just this week and wondered how Rosalyn was doing. Her energy astounded me with all of her activities with children at Pymouth and with Girl Scouts. She was a great support to my mother and was part of her memorial service in 1995. I marveled how she would get up so early to get to work at Muncher's Bakery. She was a very exceptional person. Her wedding...

Rosie was such a good friend to my mother, Carol, and our family. Nice memories.

Louis, I am saddened to hear of your wife's passing. I enjoyed visiting with both of you at McDonald's and then talking occasionally with you on the phone after you moved to Colorado. Rosie even though she was having problems and with our visits at McDonalds, she never lost her sense of humor. I recall I brought a news article about your marriage and you were reading it and then asked your wife if she wanted to look at it and she said "why, I was there". That is how I remember her as being...
