Rivet Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc. - Merrimack Obituary

Rose “Rosa” Bartlett, 67, of Hooksett, NH passed away on October 5th, 2025, after a period of declining health.

She was born on June 30th, 1958, to the late Lucy (D’Alessandro) and Thomas Rutzke Jr. Rosa was the youngest of 4 children and was adored by her siblings. She was lovingly devoted to her family, and to her late husband Paul, as well as to her pets, Sisi, Henry and Oscar. She met Susan Scaltreto in middle school and remained friends with her until her death. Both Rosa and Paul were fortunate to move next to her neighbors, the Gordons, who are now family members to all of us.

In her free time Rosa enjoyed needle-point, painting, beading and learning and taking care of her pets. She loved baseball and could quote statistics from the Red Sox from the 1970s on. Rosa loved going to painting classes, going to sports events and movies with her family.

Along with her parents, Rosa was predeceased by her husband Paul Bartlett.

She is survived by her brother David Rutzke and his wife Mary; her two sisters, Lucille Duddy and Ann Dawson and her husband John; her two nephews, David Rutzke Jr and his husband Jake and Benjamin Duddy; her three nieces Caitlin Rutzke and fiancée Alex Finn, Meghan Solis and her husband Arturo, and Jessie Dawson; her long-time friend and neighbors Matt and Kristen Gordon and their son Colby; and many cousins.

Calling hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack, NH on Monday, October 13th from 4 – 6 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Rd, Merrimack, NH on Tuesday, October 14th at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow at the Last Rest Cemetery.
