Feerick Funeral Home - Shorewood Obituary

Of Bayside, WI, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, December 17th, 2020 at the age of 83. She was born June 22, 1937 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Joseph and Rose Marie (nee Giaimo) Passante. She was the best friend and beloved wife of the late Donald “Don” Brier. Loving mother of Dennis (Robin), Kim, Randy (Cindi), and the late Jeffrey (Diane) Brier. Proud grandmother of Desi, Tony, Kendahl, Lilly, Joseph and Allissa. Dear sister of MaryAnn (Bob) Karas, Tony (Vicki), and Frank (Barb) Passante. Rose Marie is further survived by other loving relatives and many cherished, life-long friends.

To Rose Marie, family was everything. She was proud of her Italian heritage and was a longtime member of the Italian Community Center. She was also a devout Catholic and longtime member of St. Eugene Parish in Fox Point, WI. Rose Marie loved to cook.  She enjoyed traveling, gambling, and her trips to Las Vegas with family and friends. She was a sports enthusiast and loved to cheer on her favorite WI teams. Her most cherished sports to watch were those that involved her own children and grandchildren. Rose Marie loved her family and cherished all of her wonderful friends. Her greatest passion was that of raising her four children, alongside her husband of 57 years. She will always be our Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) and will be deeply missed. We love you mom.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Smitha Menon, and the staff of Froedtert Hospital for their compassionate care of Rose Marie.

Memorial services will be held on a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Rose Marie’s name be made to St. Eugene Parish at https://giving.parishsoft.com/App/Giving/steugene or to Froedtert Hospital Foundation at https://my.froedterthospitalfoundation.org/makeagift

Not sure what to say?

Our prayers go out to your Mom ,This is Steve and Lillian Calo, from Long Island New York , we always got together with each other, at the pool at Orange Lake country club and also went out to dinner.

Sending prayers to the Brier family. We got to know Rose when we were together on the St. Eugene choir trip to Eastern Europe. Both Ro and Don were so much fun. Ro was was seen at Mass without fail in the front row at St. Eugene. She had such amazing faith. Her smile will be missed. Such a gem.

Sending love to the Brier family as you mourn such a wonderful woman. She was always there to support her kids and grandchildren and as a teacher it was wonderful to see the support she offered.

Dear Brier Family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. Ro was simply the best...greatest smile, always beautifully accessorized, and, most importantly, ALWAYS there for her family. I am so grateful that I got to work with your family so early in my career at Bayside as I learned the power that the love and dedication of a family can have on a child. Grandma, Grandpa, Dad and Auntie Kim were always there for them and loved them fiercely. I will be sending healing thoughts to you during...

Love you forever grams you were the most amazing woman to walk this earth! heaven is lucky to have you

Mom, you were the greatest gift that God ever gave me. I miss you with all my heart but could not be more proud to have you as my mother. There is nothing like a mother’s love. You are my Hero.

Our very deepest sympathy on the loss of Rose Marie. Ro was a really lovely and wonderful friend. David's recollections of her were always the friendly conversations they would have at the Bayside picnics. My memories go back a long, long way when she was the "right-hand man" who helped Del Lindbloom run the FP=B school district! (In fact, I am sure she could have done it all on her own.) She was so knowlegeable about the people and the the students. She, Del, and Orv made quite a...

A person with undying love for those closest to her. Tirelessly devoted and compassionate to those she loved. She was filled with happiness and a laugh. One of my favorite people. Rest in peace now Rosie with your loving departed you are loved deeply and will never be forgotten.

Dear family of Rose Marie, she was a special soul and touched a lot of lives. Now she is reunited with Don and Jeff. Deepest sympathy and love, Gary and Sherry Zimmerman
