Swartz Funeral Home - Flint Obituary

 

CRAIG, Rose Lee – Of Flint, age 82 years young, left this life of those she loved to cross into God’s hands on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at her residence.



 



Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating.



 



Cremation will take place following the service.



 



Visitation 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.



 



Those desiring may make contributions to the Medical Team Hospice and Reliant Renal Care West.



 



Rose was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on October 11, 1936, the daughter of the late Vernie and Flora (Pyles) McWilliams, coming to Flint in 1946.



 



She frequented Union Baptist Church in Newberry, Florida and was a faithful church goer there, and in Michigan for many years.



 



She enjoyed her many trips to Florida to see family and friends.



 



Rose loved camping, road trips and being in nature. Above all else, she loved her family and grandkids.



 



She was preceded in death by her husband, Cletus; her mother, Flora Mae McGraw and brother, James Henry McWilliams.



 



Surviving are four children, Pamela (Al) Gooch,



Deana Henry,



Earl Craig and



Kimberly (Bud) Evans;



 



13 grandkids;



11 great-grandkids;



1 great-great-grandkid;



 



brother, Eugene (Susie) McWilliams of Florida;



many cousins, very special family of friends, Diana, Ruth, Sammy, Hazel and Maria.



 



Rose’s family would like to give a special thanks to Ami Barritt R.N. – The Medical Team Hospice for helping our loved one to the next phase of her life; and special thanks to Reliant Renal Care Dialysis West.
