Rose Belle Harmon

Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Belle Harmon will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 24, 2016 in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oakdale with Father Jose Vattakunnel officiating. Entombment will follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Mrs. Harmon, 97, of Oakdale entered eternal rest on Saturday, October 22, 2016 in Pineville, LA.

She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a founding member of Ladies Auxillary, a member of Sacred Heart Ladies Rosary Group and the Home Demonstration Group.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Carl Harmon, Sr.; one son, David Carl Harmon, Jr.; two grandchildren, Christy Rose Young and Stacy Bernard Harmon and one sister, Joyce Grantham.

Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her son, Joel Dana Harmon and his wife, Lisa, of Charlotte, TN.; one daughter, Jan Young and her husband Terry, of Colfax; ten grandchildren, John David Harmon, James Michael Harmon, Kimberly Ann Butler, Samantha Kasey Harmon, Anna Joelle Harmon, Ricky Young, Magan Soileau, Terry Randall Young, Timothy Ryan Young and David Cody Young and eight great grandchildren, Fara, Hannah, Robert, Chris, Blake, Kasie, Christy Rose and Talon.

Visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, on Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will reopen on October 24, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. until time of departure for the church.
