Walter J. Zalewski Funeral Home - 44th Street - Pittsburgh Obituary

Age 99, of Allison Park, formerly of Morningside, on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Rocco "Rocky" Marciano; loving mother of Antoinette (Chet) Kwiatkowski and Grace (Tony) Manuel; cherished grandmother of Marc (April) Kwiatkowski, Sr., Kellie (Pete) Metzler, Kristin (Eddie) Kropf, Kristopher Jason-Rocco Kwiatkowski, Justin Todd-Bentley Kwiatkowski, Nicole (John) Kikta, Kimberly (Troy) Piekarski, Jordan (Sam) Kubas and Anthony David Manuel, Jr.; devoted great-grandmother of Marc Jr. and Camryn Kwiatkowski, Elise and Chase Metzler, Peyton and Finn Kropf, Evelynn, Adriana and Victoria Piekarski; daughter of the late Antonio and Antoinetta (Tomasso) Primiano; sister of the late Americo and John Primiano; daughter-in-law of the late Charles and Grace (Antico) Marciano. Rose was a first generation American. She was raised by her loving parents in Hazelwood. Rose's brother, John, passed away as an infant and her brother, Rico, passed away when he was 20. No doubt, she was the longest living relative on both sides of the family. When Rose and Rocco were married, they moved into Rocco's parents home in Morningside. Twenty years ago, Rose moved with her daughter in Shaler Township until she no longer could. Family and friends are welcomed at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, on Thursday, January 7, 2021 and Friday, January 8, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Raphael Church on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.

Not sure what to say?

Rose was a beautiful, intelligent and “spicy” matriarch. She had a heart of gold and was one of the most caring women. I ever knew. God bless you, Rose. We were blessed to have you in our lives. Give my dad a big hug for me!
