Not sure what to say?

Dear Rau Family, My deepest condolences for your loss. "Mrs. Rau", as I had always known her, was always gracious with us neighborhood kids. She once broke stems off her shrub with butterfly chrysalises attached for the kids to take home and watch for black swallowtails to emerge. That's just how she was. We were lucky to have her as a neighbor.

Rose was one of the liveliest people I ever had the pleasure of knowing. She was a regular member of my exercise class at the YMCA for several years and was always my favorite. At the time, she was recovering from shoulder surgery and liked to play Zelcro ball catch with my boys before class. Even though I moved away from Fort Worth 13 years ago, she continued to call me EVERY year on my birthday! I spoke with her last September and she was so proud of her family (especially little Rose)....

Dear Family,

May I extend my regrets on the loss of Rose. I have fond memories of her as my Sunday school teacher at Westminster Presbyterian circa 1970. Possessing a sharp wit and a sense of humor, she will be dearly missed.

Our sweet neighbor, Rose Rau, will always be remembered for her loving and generous nature, especially to the kids in the neighborhood. She taught me to stand on my head when I was 10. I'll never forget it. She must have been in her 40s when she demonstrated this. We both got a kick out of telling that story to the new kids on the block in recent years. They knew her as Miss Rose. I'll always remember her quick laugh and wonderful way with a story. She was a kind friend, a good neighbor, and...

My deepest sympthy on the loss of your mother. She was always so kind and caring towards me and I appreciated it more than words can tell.

We would like to extend our deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother. Please know that our thoughts are with you during this time. Aunt Rose will be missed. The McArthur family.

I remember Rose coming over to my table at Mi Charito's and brightening my day as only she could do. I am so glad I knew her and she will be missed from our little Wester Avenue. God bless.

Your mom was a fantastic lady and she and Carl treated me like their own. It's difficult to put into words how very sorry I am for your loss. God Bless you all. Kathy
