RUSSO, Rose M. Sarcione
Rose M. Sarcione Russo, 87, of Wethersfield, entered eternal life on Sunday, (June 3, 2012). She was born in Lawrence, MA, the daughter of Luigi and Palmarosa Sarcione, and was the youngest of 11 children. She graduated from Lawrence High School and lived in Wethersfield for the past 53 years. She retired from Travelers Insurance Co. after 25 years of service and during that time she was a member of the Travelers Girls Club. She especially loved babysitting and spending time with her grandchildren. Throughout the years she enjoyed her trips to Massachusetts and California to visit with family. The last several years she was thrilled to have many visits, telephone calls, and greeting cards from her out of state family members. She loved to reminisce of the wonderful times she had growing up in Lawrence with her loving parents, family, and friends. Rose was an avid and proud Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. She was thrilled to see the Red Sox win the 2004 World Series. In the past 21 years she became a fan of women's basketball. In addition to sports she loved music especially the opera. Either going to live performances or listening to her opera collection at home. She was a true patriot, extremely proud of her country and of being an American. Rose is survived by her devoted children, son, Andrew Russo and his wife Beth, her son Luca Russo, all of Wethersfield, her daughter, Lucy (Russo) and her husband Richard Bean of Wethersfield; five adored grandchildren: Joyce Valentukonis, Andrew and Christina Russo, and Steven and Gina Bean, three great grandchildren: Nyanna Rose Bean and Landon and Logan Valentukonis; her brother, Albert Sarcione, as well as many nieces and nephews.
