Not sure what to say?

I first met Rose when I started as a seventh grader at Spanaway Jr. High! I was sitting here thinking how great the lunches were in the Bethel district and I thought of Mrs. Ward! She obviously made an impression - I still remember her name after 43 years!! I also remember how the lunch menus became so much better when she took the job as head nutritionist. A truly great lady. I wish I had known her better.

I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Rose this past June when my father and I came up to the Smokey Hill River Festival. She was the neatest lady, and I'd hoped that I'd get to meet and chat with her again. I am so sorry to hear of her passing, and so sad that I won't get to sit and talk with her again.

Am so very sorry to learn that Rosie has passed away. I always felt better after talking to her. She was so cheerful and upbeat. My dad talked about his brother, John, Rosie's and Buddy's dad a lot. I will pray for her girls and Buddy,
