Rose G. WardCorpus Christi, TXRose G. Ward, age 94, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015. She was born on April 8, 1921, in Corpus Christi, Texas. She will be remembered for her cooking and devotion to family especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great granddaughter. She always made sure everyone was taken care of. During World War II Rose was known as a 'Rosie the Riveter' serving locally at the CC Naval Base repairing airplanes. There she met her life partner of 62 years, Charles P. Ward. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles P. Ward, parents, Eliazar C. Garcia and Rosa V. Garcia and siblings, Reyes Garcia, Palmira Moreno, Santa La Londe, Pauline Garcia and Amelia Pedraza.Survivors include her son, Charles R. (Yolanda) Ward, daughter, Betty W. (Albert) Gonzalez, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter also survives her.Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at Funeraria Del Angel - Memorial Holly from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., that same evening. Funeral Services are scheduled for Thursday, November 19, 2015, at 10:00 a.m., at Funeraria Del Angel - Memorial Holly. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.www.funerariadelangelmholly.com
