Rose was my "other mother". My mother had a stroke at the age of 30, when I was 5, one brother 9 and the other brother was 9 months. Seeking to be a normal classmate, girl, etc., I joined the Brownies in second grade and joined my classmates in the greatest times our lives, with Rose Weiss as our leader.
