June 14, 2008 Roselinda, 51, of Syracuse, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday with her friends and family at her side. Rosebud (as called by Mom and close friends) grew up in Syracuse and had lived in Dallas and Chicago. She was a best friend and confidante to those she loved. Rosie was a...

Not sure what to say?

I met Rose 25 years ago in Dallas playing on a girls football team along with a number of other great women whom we've all remained friends, better known as "the hogs". I've had so many great times and fond memories over the years with Rose, she is truly a unique and special person. I will miss her very much. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Lattanzio family. I love you man....

Rose, Cindy and Chester

Hello My Love, I miis hearing that phrase Rose. We were sharing Rose stories last nite in Chiacgo at Sandys. Jim said his favorite Rose time was hootenaney and the song they would play together. Always the life of the party with a smile and sometimes advice.Rose you are a song that I hear from time to time. May your song endlessly go on. I miss you my Love. Donna

My thoughts are with Rose's family in this sad and difficult time.

I met Rose 25 years ago in Dallas where we were roommates for nearly 2 years. We had a blast together. Needless to say, there was never a dull moment when you were with Rose. That's what made her so special.

I was honored when Rose asked me to come to Chicago to celebrate her last chemo treatment. I wasted no time making flight arrangements to be with Rose for this special occasion. It was a great weekend...

Your radiant smile, your hug and kiss
These are the things, Rose, that we will miss
your 'Hello, love', your humor and wit
These are the things we will never forget

Precious daughter, beloved sister, dear friend
You kept your spirits up right till the end
A lovely flower always in bloom
But your petals fell - much too soon

So, it's 'Good bye, love' - for now
We'll go on without you somehow
You were a character, unique and new
We'll miss...

Rose will be very missed. Heaven will enjoy their newest resident. I hope they are ready for a fun time! I am sure that she has already told the angels about her mom's sauce.

As a long time friend of Rose, her death has confirmed that life should be lived not endured. She certainly enjoyed her life and made an impression on me that first day we met at a happy hour in Dallas. I'm glad I made room for her at my table that evening and in my life for the past 30 years.

It will never be easy to go on with out you Rosie. I cling to your spirit, I marvel at your great sense of self, I miss your smell, and especially your laughter. You gave us so much in your last days. You faced death without fear, and shared your strength with us. We can only hope to have the strength to support each other as we face life without our Rosebud. We love you, Angela (your sister)

Dearest Rosie and Family,
I just heard today and am so heartbroken. My memories of you and our high school years I think of so often, and hold so dearly in my mind and in my heart. The sleep overs at your home, the sorority meetings, the parties, the laughs, and of course, we so miss Sam. It was all so long ago, but still feels like yesterday to me. I will never forget those years and will always hold you and Sam so dearly in my heart. You have always given of yourself so unselfishly...

Dear Rose,
Thanks for always making be feel like I was always the most important person in the room and for visiting me no matter where I was in the world. Your are the number one cure for human lonliness that ever existed.

I remember you once told me that you always had a plane ticket in your dresser to visit someone and I was blessed to be on your frequent flyer list.
You taught me to gather and care for those I love, a priceless lesson.

I will miss you...

I'm so sorry to hear of such a loss. Rose was a great friend to everyone, even those like me who she only knew for a short while. How lucky we all are to have known her!
