Rosella I. Dingman

Clive - Rosella I. Dingman, formerly of Urbandale, passed away on Saturday, January 23rd at Walnut Ridge Care Center in Clive, IA.

Rosella was born on July 7, 1931 in Swea City, Iowa to Fern (Harris) Lentsch. She graduated from East High School in Des Moines in 1949. She worked as the head cashier at the courtesy counter of Dahl's Foods in Clive for 29 years, retiring in 1996. In retirement, she found joy in being active in her church and with the Urbandale Senior Center. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, and attending craft fairs (and miscellaneous activities) with her longtime friend, Sue Coons. Her greatest accomplishment was raising her family with her husband of 39 years, Edmund Dingman, Sr.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons: Edmund (Josie) Dingman, Jr. of Harrisonburg, VA, Stephen (Rhonda Herbst) Dingman of Des Moines, Terry Dingman of Monroe City, MO and Larry Dingman of Des Moines; grandson, Alex Dingman; great grandson's, Tate & Ben Dingman and sisters, Gladys Morris and Marjorie McFarland.

Rosella was preceded in death by her husband, Ed, her mother, Fern and her sister Lorraine Hamilton.

According to her wishes, graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 27th @ 1:00 pm at Chapel Hill Cemetery on Merle Hay Road in Des Moines.

I work for the Rose when I first started 1989 until 2014 at 86th and Hickman I wish I woulda known she was born in swea City my mom came from there I would ask her a lot of questions! she was very nice lady nice she knew that place very deepest sympathy from Russ

Sorry to hear about Rosella. She was a good friend of my mom's Darlene Stuckle, and they enjoyed many good times together, along with lots of wonderful memories of their trips together. May you find comfort in all your memories of her. Prayers to all.
