Roselyn Nebeker Kirk

Just finding out about the passing of this amazing woman. She was my teacher, my friend, my confidant, my mentor, and my champion. She lead by example, not by dictum. I sorely regret the fact that we lost touch over the years, but Roselyn never lost a spot in my heart. Few people can claim a life well-lived; Roselyn personified it. Thank you for everything.

I spent a lot of days at the Kirk home when I was growing up. I can still remember Roselyn's smile. She was always happy to see me and kind. I admired her for her interests and talents. She was a true role model. She was also a good cook. I remember eating many good meals at Cindy's house. I always felt comfortable and accepted there.

One of my favorite childhood memories was in Payson helping Grandma Wilson set the “big” table for Thanksgiving Dinner and then Becky and I would watch out the window of our cousins Roselyn,Ruthann and Robert to arrive from Wyoming. My love to the family

Roselyn was my comrade in adventure and while we hadn't known each other for very long we headed to the "Dark Continent" with vim and excitement. I'll NEVER forget riding on the back of an elephant behind Roselyn as we trudges through the landscape with delight and NOT a little pain in the ****.
Roselyn was a PERFECT traveling companion as we smiled with glee passing through the longer crater through Tanzania to witness the "Great Migration. What wonder we both experienced.

My daugter, Wendy Pike, was in a class that Roselyn Kirk taught at Cottonwood High many years ago. She always spoke so highly of this wonderful lady, even after she had graduated from school. Wendy was a person who wanted all of her work to be done just right....one day Mrs. kirk saw Wendy redoing and redoing as she passed her desk and quietly said to Wendy, "You don't always have to be perfect", which meant alot to her since she was a bit of a perfectionist...sometimes that gets hard for...

Mrs. Kirk was an amazing teacher! I was in her Journalism class at Cottonwood High School, I graduated in 1976.

My name is Martin Crapo, Mrs. Kirk is one of the inspirational and calming influences of my life. As a wild teenager; a dreamer of sorts, Roslyn was always there to encourage me and her students, and to inspire them in their quest for greatness. She gave me that feeling as I was one of her students at Cottonwood high school and very much appreciated her encouragement in my journalism classes.
