Rosemarie (Orlando) Marcon, 92 years old, of Pen Argyl, passed away on Monday June 23 rd at St. Luke’s Anderson Campus.


Born August 5 th , 1932, she was the youngest of the ten children born to Giovanni (John) and Florinda Marie (Cifferri) Orlando of Bangor Pennsylvania. Rosemarie started working at Lewis Sportswear with her siblings while attending Bangor High School. As a member of the International Ladies Garment Worker’s Union, she sewed at multiple factories in the Slate Belt until her retirement in 1995. A woman of strong faith, Rosemarie and her husband John were members of St Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church for over 60 years.


She is survived by her husband of 66 years John “The Shoemaker” Marcon and her two sons; David Marcon and his wife Vicky of Cincinnati, Ohio and Matthew Marcon of PenArgyl and Grandchildren: Dante Marcon and Geena Roewer and her husband Alex both of Cincinnati, Ohio.


She was preceded in death by her brothers Guido, Alfred, John Orlando and Palmer Orlandi and sisters Lena Bosco, Pauline Guida, Agnes Joella, Julia Maso and Dena Guzzo.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Monday, June 30, 2025, at 11 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 300 W. Babbitt Avenue, Pen Argyl. There will be a viewing Monday beginning at 10 AM until 10:45 AM at the church.  Burial will be in St. Elizabeth’s Cemetery, Pen Argyl.  The Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, Pen Argyl is in charge of arrangements.
