Not sure what to say?

I just found out yesterday that I was named after Rosemarie. I was born in 1951. My dad's sister just told me that my dad was a huge fan of Guy and particularly Rosemarie. My condolences on your loss.

Dear Diane Syd & David
I am presently vacationing in Lipari,Eolian Islands,Sicily(home of our mutual ancestors).A friend just emailed me news of your Mother's passing, and I just wanted to send along my condolences on behalf of another branch of the Lombardo family tree. I met Rosmarie (myMom's cousin) on a few occassions when she came to London Ontario for various functions over the years & sometimes when she visited my Grandma (her Aunt Josie Lombardo).
Sincere sympathies to all...

While working at WTOL-TV in Toledo, I had the great pleasure of interviewing Rosemarie at her home for a news story that aired around New Year's Eve of 2001. My condolences to the family. Rosemarie was the last surviving sibling of the famiy that started the greatest of all American holiday traditions. She will be missed.

Dear Diane, Syd, and Dave:

My heartfelt condolences for the passing of your mom. I have fond memories of talking with her for hours in the Springbrook kitchen as she was sewing or preparing a meal. She taught me how to open oysters and cherrystones. In this age of the internet, I was delighted to find "Stage Door Canteen" on YouTube.

Is this your mom singing w/ the band, beginning at 1:07:58?

Oh, how...

I was thrilled when Rosemarie called me at home on the afternoon of June 4, 2009, to talk about the Guy Lombardo Music Centre and Guy's multiple-award-winning, Tempo VII hydroplane speedboat in her hometown of London, Ontario, Canada.

I never met Rosemarie, but on the phone she came across as one with a wonderful sense of humour and very down to earth. An absolute joy to talk to.

Dear Diane, Syd & David,

It was a delight to know your mother. It's clear that she influenced you in so many positive ways. I have very fond memories of her wit, charm & personality. Please accept my most heart-felt condolences. Your family was a very big part of my life and I wish you all the very best.

I met Rose when I was a teenager. I count her as one of a hand full of adults who taught me early lessons in how to love and accept others with an open mind, open heart, and open home. Her easy laughter and obvious passion for life are engraved in my memory. I will always carry a little bit of Rose in my heart. My condolences to her wonderful children, and my thanks for sharing your Mom with me. Keith Willey
