I first met Mr. and Mrs. Amberg when they were at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish. Rosemary was a wonderful role model for me in her great faith. To John and her family may you have peace in your hearts knowing that she is in Jesus's arms.

I am Rose's first cousin. Our mother were sisters. Her mother the oldest of the ten Leo's, my mother, Irene the youngest. Being an only child I was always amazed by the Amberg family. John and Rose set a great example of married life and deep faith. I have many fond memories of the Amberg family. Having lost my husband, Pete, four years ago, my heart goes out to John. My love and prayers to all of the family.

It was 43 years ago that I first met Mrs. Amberg, when Gene and I were roommates in St. Louis. She displayed rare courage in partaking of the meatloaf I had made to celebrate her visit. For the next four decades she displayed much more -- the rarest warmth, kindness and spirit of inclusion. All life was precious to her, and she saw the presence of God in every person. What a way to spend Christmas, Mrs. Amberg! God bless you, dear heart. Until we meet again.

Mrs. Amberg was such a lovely person. I remember when she and her family went to St. Jude's in South Holland.

You don't meet a gal like Rose, Mrs. Amberg too often anymore. Her life was so faith based. Every thought, every deed, every work of human compassion was done out of her love of the Lord! Peace and Love don't come in any purer form! She touched so many lives in every step she traveled on the journey. I know I am a better woman for having made her aquaintance.
