Rosemary E. Hyland of Westchester, died Thursday, March 14th, 2024 at the University of Chicago, LaGrange.  Rosemary was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, on April 16, 1926, the daughter of John Karier and Margaret (Linster) Karier. Rosemary was married on, October 24, 1953, to James. N. Hyland and was married to him for 59 years.  Rosemary was a loving mother to Joseph (Elaine), Rev. James M., John (Kathy), Mary (William Ret. CFD) Hetland, Michael (Constance), and Bernard Hyland.  Rosemary was also the proud grandmother to Brian (Ali Marquess, fiancée), Sean (Bridget), Luke, John Hyland, and Patrick Hetland.  She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.


Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James in 2012, and her sisters, Sr. Margaret Jean Karier, Sr. Margaret Karier, Sr. Jean Karier, Sr. Dorothy Karier, brothers, Edward Karier (Elaine), Mark Karier (Martha), Rev. Raymond Karier, Arthur Karier, and Robert Karier.

Summit, IL. 60501 or Mission Advancement Office, Sisters of Providence, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, IN, 47876.  Family and friends will be received on Thursday, March 21, from 4 to 8 pm at Conboy Westchester Funeral Home, 10501 West Cermak Road.
