Not sure what to say?

rosemary pooler made a very good impression when, as syracuse city consumer advocate, she spoke to my 11th grade social studies class at jamesville-dewitt high school, 1972. _ _ i just found out about her passing because the syracuse university "College of Law Library contributed two displays to honor the memory of Judge Rosemary S. Pooler . . . They contain documents and memorabilia that exemplify Judge Pooler´s impressive work and life. It highlights her unique contributions to Syracuse...

A great human. Thank you.

I was privileged to have worked under and learned from Rosemary as a young attorney at the New York Consumer Protection Board. I accompanied her on a tour during an energy crisis in 1979 or 80 when she travelled the state to advocate for conservation measures at the governor’s request and told audiences of her hope that solar panels would some day spring up on rooftops like TV antennas had in the 1950s. I had the special pleasure to work for Rosemary in the Syracuse Consumer Protection office. She was very bright ,most creative and lots of fun. She taught me how to practice law and how to deal with all sorts of adversity. I was honored to replace Rosemary as director of the Consumer Affairs office and I hope in some small way I was able to continue her outstanding work. So sad at the passing of this very special person. Professor Emeritus Howard Messing

My mother, the Hon. Minna R. Buck (now 95) was elected to the family court in Onondaga County , in 1982. She counted Judge Pooler as an esteemed friend, colleague, and mentor. May her memory be for you a blessing. Beverly R. Buck, Denver Colorado

Kari and I send our deepest condolences to Penelope and the entire Pooler family. Your mom had a wonderful and accomplished life and, in time, the happy memories will crowd out the sadness. - Declan

Thank you Judge Pooler for all of your years of advocacy and then your judicial temperament and wisdom. Condolences to your family whom, I'm sure, are proud of you but were also blessed to have had you in their lives.

Humanity is poorer for her loss. Hers was a fully Jewish life lived in furtherance of justice.
