Rosemary desk was right next to mine at our work in Community Action. A true nurse at heart and in spirit, she watched me add 6 packets of sugar to my coffee every day and let me know of its effects. She was a gentle soul and her advocacy was effective, and 6 packets no more! I last saw her at the Senior Center at the tail end of the pandemic and we talked and she laughed as she usually did. That's what I remember.

Oh, that smile! What a wonderful photo of Rosemary. She was "the best!" In addition to her many attributes listed here, Rosemary was an advocate for anyone in need of one. Her internal radar zoomed right in on the quiet one in the room. She went toe to toe with school administrators on behalf of the children in her care, and usually managed to convince them that rules just have to give way when it comes to a child's needs.
