Read MoreRosie and I were good friends and fellow violinists in the orchestra at Nazareth Academy in LaGrange Park. I was in awe of her musicianship as a pianist. I was thinking of her the other day, while reading about the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and recalling meeting her dad who played with the CSO. I was so sorry to see of her passing and extend my condolences to her family.

Oh, Rosie...among the many, many happy memories I have, I was reminded that the margins of my piano books are just black with Rosie's wit, words of encouragement, and instruction, and so I will always have the pleasure of having Rosie with me whenever I play. I will always treasure them, just as I treasured her.
