Not sure what to say?

we have only now learned of Rosette's death and are shocked and will miss her. We all worked together at MOMA and Teri Varversis and I kept up with Rosette and attended her shows. We will miss her and send all her family condolences. Teri and Sally

I am deeply saddened to learn of the death of Rosette Bakish. I first learned of her existence when in 1971 I moved to Manhattan, David Bakish, coincidentally on West 57th Street and discovered she lived on East 57th Street. She got some phone calls intended for me. We met and shared many good times over the years until we lost touch in the last couple of years, with my retirement from CUNY and moving to a combination of Bayside (Queens) and Tucson, Arizona. Apparently distant cousins, we...

Rosette attended one of my groups in the 1970's. She was a "starving" artist and we had an agreement that she would pay me with her art work, For years my walls and those of my children as they grew and started their own homes were adorned with her almost mystical collages.
Recently, my now former wife sent me a drawing of five mushrooms that she had discovered somewhere in her home. I loved them and took the opportunity to call Rosette to ask if she would like to see something of hers...

I sadly lose my dear friend Rosette and already miss her smiles and happy presence. I met Rosette 30 years ago when I first starting working at MoMA and over the years we have enjoyed so many adventures together. Her thoughtfullness and concern for others was so prominent in everything she did and said. I have wonderful memories of her all over my desks both at work and at home -silly little butterflies, hearts, buttons, frogs...and happy little critters that will always remind me of her...

Rosette sweetly touched my life for a brief moment with her caring and art and sense of discovery. I will always cherish the memory.

Dear Rosette, I sorely miss you>
"Life, like every other blessing derives its value from its use alone" and you used yours as an adventure! My love to you, Sandra

To Robert, Ellen and family,
I worked with Rosette at the MOMA. She was a most wonderful person and I am very sorry to hear of her passing.

Sincerely,
