The Christian Benevolent Funeral Home-MMS, announces with the deepest sympathy the transition of Rosie Peoples Hayes.


 


Rosie Mae Peoples Hayes was born on May 30, 1937, to Verna Gray and Floyd Peoples. A life-long resident of Mobile, AL, she departed this life for eternity on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at a local hospital. She was a caring and loving mother and an awesome friend. She had a true green thumb and loved to garden. Rosie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Oscar Hayes, Jr.; one daughter: Jacqueline Louis Andry; a son, Christopher Dell Hayes; a brother, Floyd Moore; and a sister, Lola Lee Dunson.


 


She leaves to cherish her memories three sons, Willie E. (Diane) Peoples; Oscar James Hayes III; Antonio F. (Brenda) Hayes of Mobile, AL; five daughters, Ola M. Jordan, of Birmingham, AL; Rose A. Burden, of Mobile, AL; Terry (Jerome) LeBlanc, of Houston, TX; Mittie (Quinn) Roberson of Mobile, AL; and Terrica L. Hayes of Mobile, AL; a daughter-in-law, Barbera F. Hayes of Antioch, CA; two sisters, Mary Dixon of Mobile, AL & Bertha Dixon of New York;  and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
