Rosie L. McElroy-Payne

Jan. 15, 1954 - March 4, 2015 Sis Rosie L. McElroy-Payne was born January 15th, 1954 in Choctaw Co., Alabama to Sadie and Eddie McElroy. She found Christ at an early age. She graduated from Vigor High School in Prichard, Alabama in 1972. She relocated to Spring Valley, NY shortly after that and met Anthony Payne in 1975. She became a NYS Certified Nurse's Aide at Northern Manor Geriatric Center in October 1978. She became a member of First Baptist Church where she started the Nurse's Unit. She worked at Northern Manor for 35 years. She married her true love Anthony on January 30th, 1982 and from this union came 3 beautiful girls. On March 4th, 2015 God opened his window, went to his garden picked this precious Rose and had her march forth. Both her parents proceeded her. She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband, Anthony Payne; 3 children, LaTasha Evans, N.C., TaLisha Payne, G.A., ShaDae Payne N.Y., 2 grandchildren, O'Taysha Jones and Robert Fields, Jr., N.C.; great granddaughter, Adreana Jones, N.C., 10 siblings, Sallie Wooten, N.Y., Bessie (Cleo) Chambers, A.L., Jane (Glen) Hockaday, A.L., Eddie (Debra) McElroy, A.L. Angela (Fredrick) McDuffie, A.L., Melvin McElroy A.L., Melissa McElroy, G.A., Ketha McElroy, A.L., Aretha (Calvin)Tisdale, T.X., Michael McElroy A.L.; 2 Goddaughters, Kyla Bell, A.L., and LaShonda Cyrus N.J.; .a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Celebration of Life Hour at New Beginning Christian Center, 101 Creola Lane, Creola, AL. Rev.
